The materials include PVC tube, resin, and fiber glass.- La ZODIAC pro II scale 1/1
DOCUMENTATION - This is a semi-rigid pneumatic raft with one peculiar feature:
- two lateral stabilizers in the hull.

The ZODIAC Pro II Series

I have chosen the Zodiac Pro II 500. Motorization and radio-controlled equipment: For the motorization, the GTX 600 Graupner outboard engine is perfect. Fed by 7.2 volts, it has an impressive power. The radio-control system is a Sanwa M-Zechs radio with programming module, a liquid crystal screen, and a Hitec micro-receiver.
BUILDING STEPS For the building of the floaters, I have used 63 mm. PVC tube. The most difficult thing is to cut them. Even with a special saw, it is not an easy task.-
Glue the tubes with a special glue respecting the angles and then sand the glue residue until smooth.
Inject Polyurethane foam in the PVC tubes to harden them, and also to waterproof them.
The deck is made of resin and has to be placed beforehand.
-
The cones at the end of the floaters are also made of fiber glass.- Mold and cone finished
In order to make the hull, it is necessary to build a model from which to cast the resin mold.
-
With the above-mentioned model the main mold is cast. Once molded, we have the hull of the Zodiac.-
To be continued. -
