2nd Exhibition of Naval Modelling Malpica

malpica44.jpg (68763 bytes) Thanks to the invaluable effort of the managers of the Yacht Club in Malpica, a beautiful town in the north-western coast of Galicia (Costa da Morte),  the 2nd Exhibition of Naval Modelling was held, luring several modelling enthusiasts from the region, as well as many seamen, who are able to build models of the ships they sail in with no plans and by guesswork during their leisure time.

One of the highlights was the wonderful fishing vessel “Playa de Laxe”, which is not finished yet, although its author, Antonio Bello Romero, has promised to lend us his finished creation for a monographic exhibition

There were several modelling kits with uneven finishes.

There was a particularly big number of inshore fishing vessels which is fairly natural for a fishing village.

Last but not least, merchant ships and tuna longliners were also present at this exhibition, which we hope will turn into a reference point in the future with a remarkable increase in quality.
